Recent Work: Paintings by Joren Dykstra

Dykstra's paintings represent an evolution of techniques that he has experimented with in the past. His current series emphasizes not only the lack of texture and the immediacy of results, but also the amplification of the element of chance. For Dykstra, there is an amazing feeling of discovery when he removes the tape, revealing the painting for the first time in its new state.
